The basic idea is just fill in the basic design which we have selected.
-
We can make a free hand design and check how best we can fill in .
-
The most important of all is the colour scheme.
-
The perfect scheme will bring a lot of joy to the eyes.

It has been a long time that i tried fabric colours. I picked a random design and shaded it .
-
This is called half shading . Here goes the process.
-
Pick a design ofyour choice.
-
Out line first with a darker shade of the colour you wish to fill.
-
Fill half of the motive inwards.
-
Then fill the other portion of the motive inwards.
-
Take a lighter shade or mix the main colour with white for a lighter shade.
-
Prefarably , lighter shade should be inside and darker one towards the out side of the motive.
-
Looks elegant if you leave the leaves with few flat brush strokes.
-
Just dip in colour and make a mark out wards the motive you wish to give the effect.
-
So the base of the motive will be dark and as it goes to the edge becomes lighter.
-
This effect gives a good look for petals and big floral designs…
-
i have used glittering fabric colours for a special look.
