BEET ROOT CURRY

INGREDIENTS

Beetroot - 1/2 no

Chana dal - 2 cups

Oil - 2 tbsp

Garlic pods - 3 nos

Redchillies - 3 nos

Salt - 11/2 tbsp

Turmeric - 1/4 tsp

Curry leaves - 10 nos

PREPARATION

Grate beetroot and set aside.

Soak chana dal in hot water for about 2 hrs before preparing the curry.

Heat oil and put tadka and add chopped garlic pieces to it. Then also add redchillies and curry leaves.

Add the grated beetroot and fry for about 10 min on medium flame.

Once cooked add chana dal. And mix well.

Add salt , turmeric and mix well. Cook for about 10 min put off the flame .

Serves good as main dish along with rice or chapathi ….
