TOMATO CURRY
- INGREDIENTS
- Tomatoes - 10 -15 nos
- Chanadal - 1/2 cup
- Uraddal - 1/2 cup
- Coriander seeds - 1 cup
- Dry grated coconut - 1/2 cup
- Redchillies - a hand full
- Salt - 2 tbsp
- Turmeric - 1/4 tsp
- Ginger garlic - equal amounts ( 4 garlic pods = amount of ginger )
- Oil - 2 tbsp
- Coriander - 1/4 bunch
- Onions - 2 nos
- Cumin - 1 tsp
- PREPARATION
- Wash and microwave cook tomatoes for 10 min.
- Heat oil in a pan and fry chana dal , urad dal , coriander seeds , ginger garlic pieces and onions sliced along with dry grated coconut .
- Onions need to be fried well to red. Allow it to cool completely and grind it into fine paste adding salt and water.
- Heat 1 tbsp of oil and fry tomatoes adding cumin and turmeric . Now add the gravy to the tomatoes.
- Mix well and add coriander .S
- Serve hot with roti or rice.
- Cooking time : 15 - 20 min
- Serving size - 4 people
- Flame - medium
