PESARAPAPPU PULUSU

INGREDIENTS

  • Pesarapappu -2 cups
  • Tamarind puree - 1 tsp
  • Onions - 2 nos
  • Beans - 1 cup
  • Water - 4 cups
  • Salt - 2 tsp
  • Cumin -1 tbsp
  • Mustard -1 tbsp
  • Curry leaves - 10 min
  • Asfoetida - 1/4 tsp
  • Oil - 1tbsp

PREPARATION

 

  • Cut beans and onions length wise and along with moong dal pressure cook .
  • Heat oil and put tadka add asfoetida , curry leaves and red chillies fry them to red .
  • Add the cooked vegetables and fry for a while.
  • Mix the tamarind puree to water and add it to the tadka and vegetables.
  • Add turmeric and salt and bring the water to boil.
  • Now transfer the dal to the water and boil for 5 - 10 min.
  • Serve hot with rice ..
  • Preparation - 20min. Serves - 5 - 6 persons.
