INGREDIENTS

  • Basmathi rice- 5 cups
  • Onions  - 3 nos
  • Dry Fruits - 1 cup
  • Ghee -1cup
  • Cardamom - 1tsp
  • Bay leaves - 2 nos
  • Vegetables - 2 cups
  • Cloves- 1 tsp
  • Ginger garlic paste - 2 tbsp ( 1 part ginger - 1 part garlic )
  • Saffron - 10 flakes
  • Milk - 1 cup
  •  Salt - 2tbsp
  • Shahjeera - 1 tsp
  • Cinnamon stick - 2 nos

PREPARATION

   

  •  Soak saffron in milk for 4 hrs.
  • Heat oil in ghee and fry bay leaves and  all the dry masale and ginger garlic paste fry to golden red.
  • Add vegetables and fry for a while . Add basmathi rice and mix well and then add milk.
  • Add salt, ghee fried dryfruits and add watermix well and cook for 40 min in a rice cooker.
  • Deep Fry onions in oilto golden red and garnish the rice and serve hot once the rice is cooked.
  • Cooking time 50 min. Serving size- 6nos
  • Serve with curd raitha or koorma …
  • Add extraspice and pulavmasala if you want the rice to be spicy .
  • Also add a spoon ful of redchilli powder.
