RASAM
INGREDIENTS
- Tomatoes - 2 nos
- Tamarind puree - 1/4 tsp
- Jaggery - 2 cubes ( small ones)
- Salt - 1 1/2 tsp
- Corianderpowder - 1 tbsp
- Rasam powder - 1 tbsp
- Greenchillies - 5 - 6 nos
- Curry leaves - 6 -10 nos
- Coriander - 1/4 bunch
- Turmeric - 1/4 tsp
- Water - 500 ml
- Oil - for tadka - 1 tbsp
- Asfoetida - 1/4 tsp
PREPARATION
- Wash and cut tomatoes and green chillies .
- Put tadka and add asfoetida to it . also add curry leaves to it.
- Fry them for a while and add water with tamarind puree dissolved in it.
- Boil the rasam for 10 - 15 min on medium flame.
- Add turmeric , salt , coriander powder and rasam powder .
- Boil on high flame for 5 min and add jaggery .
- Now add chopped coriander and put off the flame.
- Serve hot with hot rice.
- Serving size - 5 -6 persons . Preparation time -30 min.
