KESARI ANNAM ( SWEET )
INDREDIENTS
- BASMATHI RICE - 3 CUPS
- SUGAR - 3 CUPS
- BAY LEAVES - 3 - 4 NOS
- CLOVES - 1/2 TSP
- CARDAMOM - 6 - 8 NOS
- GHEE - 2 TBSP
- WATER - 4 CUPS
- SAFFRON - 1/4TSP EQUI
PREPARATION
- MIX SUGAR IN WATER AND BOIL IT TO 15MIN TO MAKE A SYRUP ADDING SAFFRON AND CARDAMOM.
- HEAT GHEE IN A PAN AND FRY CLOVES, CARDAMOM AND BAY LEAVES .ADD RICE AND COOK ADDING WATER.
- ONCE THE RICE IS COOKED , ADD THE SUGAR SYRUP TO THE RICE. AND ALLOW IT TO COOK .
- FOR THE RICE ,TAKES AROUND 10 MIN TO ABSORB THE JUICE .
- RICE MAY BE COOKED AS DESIRED , SOFT OR AS GRAINS.
- SERVE AS NAIVEDYAM .
- PREPARATION TIME - 30 MIN. SERVES - 10 PERSONS.
