KESARI ANNAM ( SWEET )

INDREDIENTS

  • BASMATHI RICE - 3 CUPS
  • SUGAR - 3 CUPS
  • BAY LEAVES - 3 - 4 NOS
  • CLOVES - 1/2 TSP
  • CARDAMOM - 6 - 8 NOS
  • GHEE - 2 TBSP
  • WATER - 4 CUPS
  • SAFFRON - 1/4TSP EQUI

PREPARATION

  

  • MIX SUGAR IN WATER AND BOIL IT TO 15MIN TO MAKE A SYRUP ADDING SAFFRON AND CARDAMOM.
  • HEAT GHEE IN A PAN AND FRY CLOVES, CARDAMOM AND BAY LEAVES .ADD RICE AND COOK ADDING WATER.
  • ONCE THE RICE IS COOKED , ADD THE SUGAR SYRUP TO THE RICE. AND ALLOW IT TO COOK .
  • FOR THE RICE ,TAKES AROUND 10 MIN TO ABSORB THE JUICE .
  • RICE MAY BE COOKED AS DESIRED , SOFT OR AS GRAINS.
  • SERVE AS NAIVEDYAM .
  • PREPARATION TIME - 30 MIN. SERVES - 10 PERSONS.
