SORAKAYA / BOTTLE GOURD GRAVY CURRY
INGREDIENTS
- SORAKAYA - 1 NO
- COCONUT - 1 CUP(DRY GRATED OR FRESH )
- CURD - 2 CUPS
- POPPY SEEDS - 1/2 CUP
- SALT - 11/2 TBSP
- GINGERGARLIC PASTE - 1TSP EA
- CURRY LEAVES - 5 - 6 NOS
- URADDAL - 1/2 TSP
- CHANA DAL - 1/2 TSP
- MUSTARD - 1TSP
- CUMIN - 1 TSP
- REDCHILLIES - 2 NOS
- OIL - 1 TBSP
PREPARATION
- WASH AND PEEL OFF THE BOTTLE GOURD AND MAKE BIG PIECES OF THE SAME.
- PUT TADKA AND ADD THE BOTTLE GOURD PIECES TO IT , ADD 1/2TBSP OF SALT AND COOK THEM.
- PUT A LID IN ORDER TO COOK THEM FAST.
- GRIND POPPY SEEDS AND THEN GRIND COCONUT AND ADD CURDS TO IT WITH 1 TBSP OF SALT.
- ADD GINGER GARLIC PASTE TO THE GRAVY , GRIND WELL .
- POUR IT OVER THE BOTTLEGOURD PIECES .
- COOK FOR 5 MIN . PUT OFF FROM FLAME AND SERVE HOT WITH RICE.
- PREPARATION TIME - 15 MIN, SERVES - 6 - 8 PERSONS.
