PALAKURA PAPPU / PALAK DAL
INGREDIENTS
- PALAKURA - 2 BUNCHES
- TUAR DAL - 2 CUPS
- ONIONS - 2 NOS
- GREEN CHILLIES - 4 NOS
- MINCED GARLIC - 1 TBSP
- OIL - 1TSP
- SALT - 11/2 TSP
- TAMARIND PUREE - 1 TSP
- RED CHILLI POWDER - 1 TSP
- TURMERIC - 1/4 TSP
- CURRY LEAVES - 4 - 5 NOS
PREPARATION
- WASH AND CHOP PALAKURA / PALAK INTO FINE PIECES.
- WASH TUAR DAL AND ADD PALAKURA TO IT ALONG WITH CUT ONIONS AND GREEN CHILLIES.
- PRESSURE COOK FOR 3 WHISTLES.
- HEAT OIL IN A PAN AND PUT TADKA AND ADD MINCED GARLIC TO IT.
- FRY TO GOLDEN RED AND THEN ADD THE COOKED DAL AND MIX WELL.
- NOW ADD SALT , REDCHILLIPOWDER, TURMERIC AND CURRY LEAVES.
- MIX WELL AND COOK FOR 5 MIN ADDING TAMARIND PUREE.
- REMOVE FROM FLAME AND SERVE WITH HOT RICE OR CHAPATHI ..
- PREPARATION TIME - 30 MIN.
- SERVING SIZE - 6PERSONS.
