PALAKURA PAPPU / PALAK DAL

INGREDIENTS

  • PALAKURA - 2 BUNCHES
  • TUAR DAL - 2 CUPS
  • ONIONS - 2 NOS
  • GREEN CHILLIES - 4 NOS
  • MINCED GARLIC - 1 TBSP
  • OIL - 1TSP
  • SALT - 11/2 TSP
  • TAMARIND PUREE - 1 TSP
  • RED CHILLI POWDER - 1 TSP
  • TURMERIC - 1/4 TSP
  • CURRY LEAVES - 4 - 5 NOS

PREPARATION

         

  •  WASH AND CHOP PALAKURA / PALAK  INTO FINE PIECES.
  • WASH TUAR DAL AND ADD PALAKURA TO IT ALONG WITH CUT ONIONS AND GREEN CHILLIES.
  • PRESSURE COOK FOR 3 WHISTLES.
  • HEAT OIL IN A PAN AND PUT TADKA AND ADD MINCED GARLIC TO IT.
  • FRY TO GOLDEN RED AND THEN ADD THE COOKED DAL AND MIX WELL.
  • NOW ADD SALT , REDCHILLIPOWDER, TURMERIC AND CURRY LEAVES.
  • MIX WELL AND COOK FOR 5 MIN ADDING TAMARIND PUREE.
  • REMOVE FROM FLAME AND SERVE WITH HOT RICE OR CHAPATHI ..
  • PREPARATION TIME - 30 MIN.
  • SERVING SIZE - 6PERSONS.
