VADA WITH MOONG DAL / PESARAPAPPU VADA
INGREDIENTS
- Moond dal - 4 cups
- Oil - for deep frying
- Salt - 11/2 tbsp
- Green Chillies - 10 nos
- Ginger - 1 fingerlength piece
- Coriander - 1/2 bunch
- Onions - 2 nos
- Turmeric - 1/4 tsp
PREPARATION
- Soak moong dal in hot water for 4 hrs.
- Grind it into a fine batter of semi solid consistency adding little water at a time.
- Grind green chillies, salt and garlic along with coriander and add to the batter.
- Heat oil.
- Chop onions and add to the batter along with turmeric.,
- Mix the ingredients well and make small vada on your hand dipping it in water and leave them in the hot oil.
- Fry them to golden red.
- Remove and serve with sauce .
- Preparation time - 45 min.
- Serving size - 25 persons.
