ALOO BONDA
INGREDIENTS
- Besan - 3 cups
- Aloo/Potatoes - 6nos
- Green Chillies -6-8 nos
- Onions - 2 nos
- GaramMasala - 1tsp
- Salt - 21/2 tsp
- Redchilli powder - 2 tsp
- Oil - deep frying
- Water - 2 cups
- Turmeric- 1/2 tsp
- Eating soda - 1/4 tsp
PREPARATION
- Wash and cut potatoes into 4 pieces each and pressure cook all the pieces for 2 to 3 whisltes.
- Allow to cool compltely by straining away water.
- Chop onions and green chillies .Once the potatoes become cool , peel them off and mash them well.
- In 2 tbsp of oil , deep fry onions and greeen chillies.
- Now add the mashed potatoes and mix well.
- Add salt, garam masala , redchilli powder, turmeric and chopped coriander and mix well.
- Allow it to cool completely and make balls as shown..
- Heat oil for deep frying .
- Mix besan , 1tsp redchilli powder , 1 tsp salt and eating soda and turmeric and make batter of good consistency ( semi soft).
- Dip the balls in the besan batter and deep fry them to golden brown.
- Serve with tomato sauce..
- Preparation time - 30 min … Serving size - 25 persons.
