TOMATO PULUSU

 INGREDIENTS

  • Tomatoes - 6 nos
  • Onions - 5 nos
  • Green chillies - 6nos
  • Tamarind puree - 11/2 tsp
  • Oil - 1tsp
  • Curry leaves -  10 nos
  • Mustard - 1 tsp
  • Cumin - 1 tsp
  • Fenugreek - 1 tsp
  • Corinader leaves - 1/4 bunch
  • Salt - 1 1/2 tsp
  • Jaggery - 2 cubes / 2 tbsp
  • Redchillies - 1 no
  • Turmeric - 1/4 tsp

PREPARATION

 

     

    • Wash and cut tomatoes into four pieces each.Chop onions also in the same way .
    • Heat oil in a pan and put tadka .
    • Add  onions and green chillies and fry them to golden brown.
    • Then add tomatoes and mix well. Cook till they become soft .
    • Now add tamarindpuree to 2 cus of water and mix well.
    • Pour it over the tomatoes and onions and cook for about 15min.
    • Once cooked , add salt , turmeric and jaggery and mix well.
    • Now add curry leaves and chopped coriander .
    • Bring to boil and put off the flame.
    • Preparation  time - 30 min.  Serving size - 6 persons
    • Cook on medium flame..
