BANGLORE VANKAI // CHAUTEKAI CURRY

INGREDIENTS

  • Banglore vankai - 2 nos
  • Oil - 1 tbsp
  • Coconut powder - 1/2 cup
  • Curry leaves - 5 nos
  • Redchillies - 2 nos
  • Mustard - 1tsp
  • Uraddal - 1 tsp
  • Chana dal - 1 tsp
  • Cumin - 1 tsp
  • Turmeric - pinch of it
  • Salt - 11/2 tsp

PREPARATION

  • Wash and peel off the skin of the vankai /chaute kai and chop it to small pieces.
  • Put tadka and add the chaute ki pieces to it and mix well.
  • Cook the pieces to semi soft see that they are as pieces and do not become soft.
  • Now add salt , turmeric and coconut powder .
  • Mix well and put off the flame.
  • Serve with rice or chapathi .
  • Preparation time - 25 min , Serving size - 4 persons
