BACCHALI KURA PULUSU

INGREDIENTS

  •  Bacchali kura - 2-3 bunches
  • Tamarind puree - 1tsp
  • Salt - 2 tbsp
  • Turmeric - a pinch
  • Oil - 1 tbsp
  • Mustard - 1 tsp
  • Cumin - 1 tsp
  • Fenugreek - 1 tsp
  • Redchilli powder - 1 tsp
  • Curry leaves - 5 nos
  • Water - 3 cups
  • Besan /chanadal powder - 2 tbsp
  • Green chillies - 4 nos
  • Asfoetida - 1/4 tsp

PREPARATION

    

  • Wash and chop bacchali kura into fine pieces .
  • Heat oil in a pan and and put tadka and add asfoetida .
  • Now add the chopped pieces of bacchali kura and green chillies and mix well.
  • Cook for 5 min and add tamarind puree to three cups of water .
  • Add the tamarind water  to the  bacchali kura and mix well.
  • Now add salt, turmeric , redchilli powder .
  • Add besan to two spoons of water and add to the pulusu.
  • Mix well and a cube of jaggery to it.
  • Now let it boil for a while and put off the flame.
  • Preparation time - 30min , Serving time - 5 persons
