NUVVULANNAM // SESAME RICE

INGREDIENTS

  • Basmathi rice - 2 cups
  • Sesame seeds - 1 cup
  • Ghee - 4 tbsp
  • Mustard - 1 tsp
  • Cumin - 1 tsp
  • Urad dal - 1 tsp
  • Curry leaves - 5 - 6 nos
  • Redchillies - 3 nos
  • Salt - 11/2 tsp

PREPARATION

  • Cook basmathi rice in  a rice cooker.
  • Heat a tbsp of ghee and fry sesame to golden brown.
  • Heat the remaining ghee and put tadka .
  • Now add rice mix well then add sesame seeds , salt and red chilli powder.
  • Mix well and cook for 10 min.
  • Serve hot with chana masala  or sambhar..
  • Preparation time - 40 min , Serviong size - 4 persons
