  • Chick peas - 1 pack
  • Spinach - 1 pack
  • Salt - 1tsp
  • Turmeric - 1/4tsp
  • Garam Masala - 1tsp
  • Oil - 2 tbsp
  • Cumin - 1/2 tsp
  • Redchilli powder - 1 tsp
  • Cinnamon - 2 small sticks





  • Soak chick peas overnight and in the morning pressure cook them for4 whistles.
  • Wash and chop spinach to fine pieces.
  • Heat oil and fry cumin , chopped garlic and cinnamon sticks.
  • Add spinach and cook to soft and then add chick peas and keep mashing and mixing well…
  • Then add salt , garam masala and redchilli powder.
  • Mix well add 1/2cup of water. Cook for 10 mins.
  • Serve with poori or chapathi or rice…
  • Preparation time - 45 min. Serving size - 6 persons..
